Brit Boys + Girls.

It's a well known fact that British bands have impecible dress sense, and their music isn't half bad either if we're honest now.

There are SO many bands and artists that have not only changed the world of music, but also given us the pleasure of admiring and learning from their style.

I'll start with The Beatles, one of the greatest musical influences of our time. They certainly had style!

The Horrors.

I know they're not really the first of their kind, but it seems that there is a new band with this unique gothic style and sound every 20 years or so, the last one being 'The Gruesomes'. Alot of people tend to go for this look, which i find most acceptable; who doesn't like seeing skinny boys in even skinnier black jeans with stylish jackets and winklepickers?

I know i've mentioned them before, but The Noisettes have a beautiful lead singer, Shingai Shoniwa, and her image is so strong for a woman of this century. I think she has to be one of my idols. You can tell she's been inspired by Grace Jones. I really do love the way everything she wears seems to come alive with her bright personality and natural hair. Just stunning.

Pop legends Spandau Ballet are just kind of perfect aren't they? I love how everything goes in cycles and now this kind of 'trampy' look is back again in for the noughties. Im rather feeling those boots and the khaki coloured jacket!

And for the punk generation, bands like Sex Pistols and really made a statement with their fashion sense, which is still a pretty strong trend for a lot of people around the world. It also flows into mainstream designs from time to time which is quite pleasurable to see.

For the mod subculture in the 1950s-1960s, bands like The Who and Small Faces played a key role in pioneering it, they looked good whilst taking over the teens at the time too.

You can really notice the influence that older bands have had on the ones today.

Just look at artists such as Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines or The Kooks, anyone really and the roots of previous brit bands really show through.

This isn't even the half of it either, more modern artists such as Frankmusik, Amy Winehouse & Mystery Jets also make us proud with their choice of desirable garments and accessories.
